SSMB Micro-strip RF Connectors
Product Introduction:
Microstrip connectors are mainly used to connect planar microstrip circuits on PCB boards. They are mounted at the board edge in an “End Launch” configuration, serving as a transition point between internal high-frequency signals and external transmission lines.
Product Features:
Compact board-edge spacing: The extremely small outer diameter of SSMB allows engineers to place more signal interfaces side by side within limited PCB edge space, supporting multi-antenna and multi-channel data transmission.
Precise physical matching: For the commonly used DC–3 GHz frequency range, the center conductor is precisely machined to ensure minimal impedance variation when signals transition across the board edge.
Reinforced soldering structure: The connector housing features a flat base or pins for secure soldering, ensuring strong attachment to the PCB and the ability to withstand mechanical pulling during daily use.
Application Advantages:
Maximized board space: Edge-mount installation frees up both sides of the PCB for placing components such as CPUs or power management chips.
Suppressed electromagnetic radiation: The tightly shielded housing effectively prevents signal leakage, reducing interference with other sensitive components on the board.
