SMA RF Coaxial Termination Loads & Protective Caps
Product Introduction:
SMA RF termination loads (also known as terminators or dummy loads) are primarily used to absorb microwave energy in RF systems, preventing signal reflection at the end of transmission lines, thereby protecting transmitters or test instruments from damage caused by standing waves. The accompanying SMA dust caps are used to protect unused connector interfaces from damage due to dust, moisture, or mechanical impact. Our company’s SMA accessory series covers a wide range of specifications, from standard commercial grades to high-precision military-grade products.
Product Features :
Precision impedance matching: The termination load is strictly controlled at a constant 50Ω impedance, with extremely low Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) across the entire frequency range, ensuring efficient energy absorption.
Multiple power options: Available in 0.5W, 1W, 2W, and higher power ratings, using high-quality resistor chips with stable heat dissipation performance.
Wide frequency coverage: Standard loads cover DC–6 GHz, while high-precision models can reach 18 GHz / 26.5 GHz.
High-quality protective caps: Available in metal (gold-plated brass / stainless steel) and plastic materials. Metal caps feature a chain design to prevent loss and provide a certain level of electromagnetic shielding.
Product Advantages:
Protection of expensive equipment: By installing termination loads, it effectively prevents signal reflection caused by open circuits, reducing the risk of power amplifier (PA) damage.
Improved testing accuracy: In RF testing experiments, using high-precision loads can eliminate background noise and reflection interference, providing more accurate test data.
Extended system lifespan: Dust caps isolate salt spray, moisture, and contaminants, ensuring low contact resistance even under long-term environmental exposure.
Easy installation and identification: Standard SMA threaded interface allows for manual tightening, with a compact structure that does not occupy much space.
